oneone77 worked closely with Brigade LA - in taking an empty shell, approximately 2,300 total square footage of retail and back of house - tenant improvement design build project. Scope of work included providing entry canopy design, frontage design, floor plans, concept, layout, interior design, lighting design, title 24, custom cabinet, cash cab design, wall unit display design, full fabrication and installation.
With the approved overlays, 1177 worked closely with its' architect, structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing - drawings, plans submittals & permits to city plan check.
Once the client approved the design and specifications - oneone77 started with framing, running electrical, dry wall, skim coating columns, painting entire environment - including ceiling, installing all fixtures, flooring, cash cabs, display fixtures and wall units. The carpet, and back of house, storage was subbed out, taking oneone77 design specifications, cut and installed the panels per our direction to meet the clients storage requirements.
oneone77 continued the clients' clean, immersive and distinct experience from their previous flag ship retail from DTLA. The goal was to provide a familiar environment to its' core demographics, 90% women, single or dual incomes, 27 - 55. The client was very clear on not having drop down ceilings and illumination that fills the space brightly and evenly. Thus, oneone77 replicated the soffit lighting from the first build out; with up-lights that bounced off the top extended panel soffit that ran all sides of the retail. This also provided an opportunity to run an array of recessed down LED lights on the lower soffit - to illuminate the wall display units.
All the fixtures, displays, cash cab and wall unit display units - were customized and designed to fit the space, look and feel. Oneone77 also removed, and installed the customized shelving units with illuminated shelving, that oneone77 designed the previous system whereby low voltage from the transformer was directed down 2 channels to provide power to those shelving units and accomplishing the design objective. The dressing rooms were designed with non-direct illumination to compliment the light design / theme - bouncing the main light source off the back wall with led runners installed behind the large full size mirrors.
Lastly, oneone77 relocated the grand mirror and deer head black to match the ceiling and black / white theme of the design - both very familiar branding qualities of the original location from DTLA.
